A Premium Lanyard for “Emirates”

Look back upon the date Dec 11, 2018, since the first time we received Ms Anna’s email, it is more than half years until now, the time we finished the first bulk lanyard order, along with 2 other lanyard orders.

Both Ms Anna and us spend a lot of time and energy into this lanyard project, the “Fly better” lanyard. The final buyer is a famous brand “Emirates” who from Dubai, have many different department who want to make a premium lanyard which is different to other normal and simple lanyard. So firstly, we have send them a lot of lanyards with different material and attachments for reference, and recommended the polyester/nylon material as the lanyard tape. The client determined to do a polyester/nylon lanyard with thickness 0.68mm, with dyed color safety release buckle, insert buckle and matt finish oval hook. The oval hook or other hooks for lanyard usage is always in shiny finished, most of the factories have no stock. So, we have to do the matt finish on the oval hook to complete the sample order

The client said the sample is good, but he want a metal insert buckle instead a plastic insert buckle. As the client asked, we send a few metal buckles as samples. The client want the metal buckle with the same finish as the matt finished oval hook. This is not a easy task, because when each time we try to do matt finish on the metal insert buckle, the spring part will be broken. After tried several times, we find a way to use pearl nickel finish instead matt finish. The colors are very close, and surface looking is more smooth than the matt finish. Even it is more expensive, but fortunately, our client is happy and accepted this proposal. 

For retail purpose, we also did a small swing tag on the custom lanyard, and each lanyard was packed in a clear poly bag. Thus, the client can sell this lanyard on their store directly once they received the bulk goods. 

During this order, the client also placed another 2 lanyards orders, one is for “RUGBY WORLD CUP 2019”, and another one for a airplane company “Sky Cargo”. It is really a long time for us to finish these lanyard orders since Dec 11, 2018, until July 20, 2019. Thanks for Ms Anna’s patience and all our team’s effort!
